- Got two calls on my cell phone that I missed, so I called the number. Told me that it was the Internal Revenue Service, gave me his name, his ID # and a Case #. told me I had past due taxes from 2012 to 2016 and told me that I had a warrant out for my arrest. Told me I would have all my bank cards froze, my property seized and that I would go to jail for up to 5 years once they released my file to the authorities. Did not think this is the way the Internal Revenue service would come after someone who did not know that there was a tax issue, so I asked the person to provide me some information about myself, like what my social security # was, at that time, they hung up! Big Scam! Don't tell them anything about yourself or give them any money!!
