  • Post by Guest,
Scammers. Received various calls from (206) 458-7630, latest one being today (4/03/17). They usually pretend to be a cancer research and assistance organization. Sometimes they'll say they're a disabled veterans charity. Both organizations do NOT exist. Naturally they want a "donation" from you... and of course they need your credit card number. Don't bother answering. Most importantly... do NOT confirm any info or say "yes" to them about *anything.* Many scammers now will record your voice saying "yes" and use it elsewhere to make fraudulent purchases in your name, using your ID and credit card number. Do yourself a favor and invest a buck or two in a call blocking app (if scammers are calling your cell phone) that hangs up on scammers before they can even leave a voicemail. I use a different blocking app than what's advertised on this page, but I assume this one is fine too. Unfortunately today I had just restarted my phone and forgot to restart my call blocker. Do your own research and pick one you like. (I don't have pref and I'm not advertising for any specific app.) Just make sure it has the "hang up before voicemail" feature. It'll be the best buck or two you've ever spent. :)
