- They call offering you a free vacation. They ask a series of questions that it is not a timeshare. Just that you “won a free vacation”. But they must be seeking something. They ask only questions to which they already know you would most likely answer yes. I believe that is the scam in itself. Since “yes” in your voice can be considered a binding contract. They can then use this info to open or access accounts or possibly make purchases. They tell you all you have to do is give them the date that you are willing to come down there to claim your prize. They tell you that once you give them that date, they will give you a confirmation number. Why do they need you, in your voice, to give a series of yes answers, then give a date in your voice giving a date for an account transfer or something similar. BEWARE!!!
